This class will explore creative potentials for dream logic in the writing of poetry. We will look at examples of poems that employ various forms of dream logic and discuss how actual dreams develop. We will also discuss warp narrative, imagery and ideas, and write toward dream-logic prompts, the goal being to generate first drafts of dream-like poems, using dream-logic to tap into both the silly and profound in your writing. All participants need in preparation for this workshop is an openness to dreams’ exploratory impulses & a desire to write!
