Dominique D. Vijarro

Dominique D. Vijarro is an “Artist Educator Cultural Worker.” As a Mexican Native Mestizo, son of Campecinos, he comes from an ancestral line of Chichimeca, Purepecha, and Spanish Mixed bloodline from the Yakama Reservation in Wapato, Washington. He is an artist, writer, poet, and musician who continues to uphold his heritage and embrace art, music, dance, oration, ceremony, meditation, yoga, wrestling, jujitsu, and aikido as learning and teaching tools of literacy. He believes in personal knowledge and social-cultural knowledge as a medium to reach the vastness of the knowledge of humanity, of oneself, and the cosmos we live within.
