Bruce Beasley is a professor of English at Western Washington University and the author of nine collections of poems, including Prayershreds, just released by Orison Books. His early books have won the Colorado Prize for Poetry, selected by Charles Wright, for Summer Mystagogia; the Ohio State University Press/Journal Award for The Creation; and the University of Georgia Press Contemporary Poetry Series Award for Lord Brain. His recent books include Theophobia and All Soul Parts Returned, both from BOA Editions. Beasley’s work appears in Poetry, Kenyon Review, Gettysburg, Agni, New American Writing, and other journals. He has won fellowships from the National Endowment for the Arts and the Artist Trust, and three Pushcart Prizes.
