“Write what you know” is familiar advice, and it’s fine, up to a point; we all write from our own constellation of experiences, emotions, ideas. But what about what we don’t know? This is where imagination, questioning, and curiosity come into play. Often, the most interesting places we can go are those we haven’t yet discovered. This workshop will consist of a lecture exploring not-knowing, and we’ll close with doing some in-class writing about mysteries large and small.
